The I dare you book tag!
I wasn’t tagged by anyone, but saw this tag over at bionicbookworm! So I thought I would give it a go!
- You must be honest
- You must answer all of the questions
- You must tag at least 4 people
1 – WHAT BOOK HAS BEEN ON YOUR SHELF THE LONGEST?
So far? Actually I think it’s Cinder by Marissa Meyer. I bought the book and loved it and it’s been sitting on my shelf for 5 years. I didn’t keep books from my childhood as I gave one of my favourite series away (Angel Unlimited series by Annie Dalton) because I didn’t collect all the books of the series and now I have difficult finding them. I really hope to be able to complete reading the entire series!
2 – WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT READ, YOUR LAST READ, AND THE BOOK YOU’LL READ NEXT?
Currently, I would be reading Soundless by Richelle Mead (I haven’t even started tho), my last read was Winter signs by Sarah Gai and the book I’ll read next would be The seven rays by Sarah Bendinger
3 – WHAT BOOK DID EVERYONE LIKE, BUT YOU HATED?
A court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. Sorry to all the fans, but I really couldn’t like this book
4 – WHAT BOOK DO YOU KEEP TELLING YOURSELF YOU’LL READ, BUT YOU PROBABLY WON’T?
Everything, Everything. I watched the movie and it was pretty good, but I wasn’t really interested in the book, I just wanted to see how similar or different it was to the movie
5 – WHAT BOOK ARE YOU SAVING FOR YOUR RETIREMENT?
None! I want to read all the books I can now, and when I retire, I will read even more!
6 – LAST PAGE – READ IT FIRST OR WAIT TIL’ THE END?
Wait till the end! I want to see the entire journey of the book before coming to an end. I like closure AFTER I’ve read what’s going on inside the book!
7 – ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: WASTE OF PAPER AND INK, OR INTERESTING ASIDE?
Interesting! I love it when the authors always thank their readers!
8 – WHICH BOOK CHARACTER WOULD YOU SWITCH PLACES WITH?
Cinder from The Lunar Chronicles. Who wouldn’t want to be a rebellious cyborg leading the rebellion to take by her birthright as Queen?
9 – DO YOU HAVE A BOOK THAT REMINDS YOU OF SOMETHING SPECIFIC IN YOUR LIFE? (PLACE, TIME, PERSON?)
The Cage by Megan Shepherd! The book always reminds me of being caged up, as I grew up with really strict parents.
10 – NAME A BOOK THAT YOU ACQUIRED IN AN INTERESTING WAY
I got a manga magazine for free when I just decided to go the library to check out some books, I went to the exchange shelf and I saw it sitting there. Literally expresses the phrase, Another man’s trash is another man’s treasure!
11 – HAVE YOU EVER GIVEN A BOOK AWAY FOR A SPECIAL REASON TO A SPECIAL PERSON?
I don’t have many friends or friends who read in general. But I gave away a book to my best friend for her birthday because I felt that she enjoyed that genre of books!
12 – WHICH BOOK HAS BEEN WITH YOU MOST PLACES?
Probably Cinder. I don’t bring my books out for fear that they will get dirty or destroyed some way or another. But I brought Cinder out to my sports meet in secondary school.
13 – ANY “REQUIRED READING” YOU HATED IN HIGH SCHOOL THAT WASN’T SO BAD TWO YEARS LATER?
Nooooooooo. Any book that is recommended by the school is a horrible book. I read Rice without Rain by Minfong Ho (The school forced us to read it for 1 year of literature) and hated the book, although I finished it even before school started. I did get an A for literature tho, but still, had a deep hatred for this book.
14 – USED OR BRAND NEW?
I’m okay with used books as long as they’re not in THAT bad condition. They are cheaper after all
15 – HAVE YOU EVER READ A DAN BROWN BOOK?
Nope. And don’t intend to
16 – HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A MOVIE THAT YOU LIKED MORE THAN THE BOOK?
I really liked The 5th Wave, but I’ve never read the book. But I definitely will read the book!
17 – HAVE YOU EVER READ A BOOK THAT’S MADE YOU HUNGRY, COOKBOOKS INCLUDED?
Heartless by Marissa Meyer was a killer. The first chapter and I was trying to keep my stomach from growling!
18 – WHO IS THE PERSON WHOS BOOK ADVICE YOU’LL ALWAYS TAKE?
My own😂I know my own preferences the best and I’m pretty good at giving recommendations to others!
19 – IS THERE A BOOK OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE (OUTSIDE OF YOUR USUAL READING GENRE) THAT YOU ENDED UP LOVING?
I actually didn’t enjoy reading Contemporary books as they were too realistic, but after reading quite a few good ones (I can’t remember that many of them, but one was 26 Kisses!) I am more open minded to reading them now!
